If you were to ask me where my interest in home maintenance started, I’d have to say it began with my parents. This was back in the 70’s and it was a different era. Forget home-ec, by the time we were through highschool my four siblings and I could cook, clean, sew, repair broken trim on lintel…you name it, we’d done it.
By then I’d assisted enough projects with dad — repairing cars and broken bikes — to realize I enjoyed tinkering. It made sense when I went off to college to pursue a degree in Engineering. My hands on intro to fixing all manner of broken things was soon to be bolstered by formal education and training.
I graduated. Got a job. Got married. But my love of fixing, improving, and creating never wavered. I applied it to my work, my marriage, and…somewhere along the way…I began seeing my home as a creative process as well.

My wife and I have lived in four different states and seven houses in the last three decades. We’ve assisted contract crews with construction work, done the work ourselves, and even assisted in architecting our previous home (which I’m immensely proud of).
In early 2022, we moved to Florida and into a wonderful new community — Orchid Island. During the process of renovating yet another new home, I was repeatedly approached by neighbors who were interested in our work. They saw my wife and I making improvements to our home and wondered how they might make similar improvements to their own homes.
I realized then and there that there was nothing stopping my wife and I from helping others maintain their homes and, where possible, make them even better!
Our service is geared towards one simple end : to make home ownership and maintenance something our clients never have to worry about.
